Thomas Armstrong Group would like to wish Jimmy Scott a very happy retirement following his final day with the company on Thursday, 10th September 2026.
Jimmy joined Thomas Armstrong Aggregates in 1995, following the acquisition of Peter Greggains Ltd. He joined the team as a Senior Loading Shovel Operator at Overby Quarry, where his role involved loading trucks and feeding the sand and gravel wash plant.
Throughout his time with the company, Jimmy has brought extensive knowledge and experience to his role, particularly in the grading of sand and aggregates to meet the specifications required across the building industry.
His knowledge of the materials and the processes involved has made him an important part of the team at Overby Quarry, contributing to the day-to-day operation of the site over many years.
After more than 30 years with Thomas Armstrong Group, Jimmy now begins his retirement.
We would like to thank Jimmy for his hard work, commitment, and contribution to the company throughout his time with us and wish him a long and healthy retirement.
